The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the definitive authority in the world.
All Diamonds inscribed with a GIA Diamond Inscription. This features a micro-laser inscription applied to the edge of the diamond. The GIA report number appears microscopically engraved on the outer edge (girdle) of the diamond (Image above).
